Project: Mathify’s Mission
Project: Mathify aims to improve the mathematical abilities of students by involving their peers in their education, promoting collaboration and learning on both sides. In addition, we want to make sure that tutoring stays accessible to every student that needs it; that's why our sessions are free.
How It Works
We know that sometimes, it’s easier to learn from our classmates. That’s why with Project: Mathify, students tutor students. During the regular session, we schedule weekly tutoring sessions for each course. However, with the end of the school year on the horizon, we’re excited to announce the launch of our summer review program, which allows for more flexibility!

Project: Mathify Summer Program
It’s finally here! This summer, Project: Mathify is launching an 8-week online review program built for all of your high school math needs. Algebra I and II? Check. Geometry and Precalculus? Check! We’ve got it all, and we’ve got it built to fit into your schedule.
Summer Program Information
-
Project: Mathify’s summer program offers resources for Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Precalculus. Unfortunately, our summer program will not offer Calculus review assistance. It will be back this Fall!
-
June 6th, 2023 through July 31st, 2023
Tuesdays - Review Worksheets. The weekly newsletter is sent out! Students can begin working on that week’s review.
Mondays - Review Workshops. On Mondays, students will have the opportunity to talk to tutors about any problems they were struggling with. Review Workshop timing will be communicated a few days prior as we coordinate with tutors to find a time that works.
Every Other Day - Free reign! Students can request additional review work, check with our tutors to see if they can schedule extra sessions, or enjoy their summer break!
-
Each week on Tuesday, all program members receive a newsletter with review worksheets attached. At the end of the week, answer keys will be released so that students can check their work and talk to a tutor if necessary. By the end of the 8-week review program, all concepts from the offered subjects will be covered. Program members are free to mix and match their review work—after all, it’s review work. They can even work on multiple courses at once, and there’s no requirement to finish everything.
-
At the end of each review week (Monday), we offer Zoom meetings with student tutors to go over any review problems that program members want help with. These meetings are completely optional, but a good resource for those struggling with review concepts or problems.
-
Are you interested in tutoring? Do you want to earn volunteer service hours? Do you want to join Project: Mathify’s community? If your answer is yes to any of those questions, then consider being a tutor for our summer program.
Since our program is designed to be flexible, tutors are only expected to come in for about two hours a week. Tutors may take on additional responsibilities; however, it isn’t required. Communication matters to us; we’ll never catch you by surprise.

FAQ
-
Yes, you can! If you want to put us down for your service hours, our email is support@projectmathify.org. We ask that you keep a log of your tutoring hours and share it with us so that we can confirm your hours.
-
No! You don’t have to do all of the review worksheets. You can complete them based on what you feel is useful to you. While we want to help you succeed academically, we won’t assign any homework.
-
During the school year, we offer tutoring for Algebra I and II, Geometry, Precalculus + Trigonometry, AND Calculus/AP Calculus AB at set times once a week. Students bring homework problems that they are struggling with to the tutoring sessions and go over them with tutors. We may introduce review worksheets during the school year as well, since students can’t always attend live tutoring sessions.
-
Our live sessions are supervised, and we’re always looking for feedback from our students. If we see that a tutor isn’t teaching students effectively, or a student reports having problems, we will find another tutor until we are able to fix the problem or verify that the tutor isn’t effective. We want students to be able to trust us, and part of that is making sure that our tutors are top notch.
